The dromedary camel is also know as the Arabian camel and is native to the Middle East and North Africa. Known for their fast speed, as compared to other camel species. This cut was most likely carved as a symbol for the fraternal Free Masons society. The Masonic Shriners often used a camel in some of their symbolism.
